Water & Sanitation
Giving someone water is highly rewarded in Islam- though it is a very simple act.
Safe
drinking-water, sanitation and hygiene are crucial to human health and
well-being.
To help prevent water-borne diseases, ECHO has coordinated several long-term projects under WASH. WASH has three projects:
WASH DEEP TUBE WELLS: From 2019 to 2023 ECHO has installed a total 45 deep wells and 8 semi deep tube wells in the coastal area where there is scarcity of safe drinking water. Area’s are Coxbazar,Dinajpur, Satkhira, Potuakhali, Khulna, Bagerhat, Joshore, Sirajganj, Bogura, Munshiganj. Around 60 to 80 families benefit from one deep tube well- subhanallah, the rewards are plentiful.

WASH GIRLS TOILET: Safe sanitation systems are fundamental to protect public health. From 2016 to 2023 ECHO has implemented 50 WASH blocks for the girls in different parts of rural Bangladesh following UNICEF model.Around 500 to 600 girls are benefited from One WASH block.

school attendance and helps to create resilient communities living in healthy
